In Assam employment exchange registration is a must-have for all state government jobs, Employment exchange was being done manually earlier, but due to the onset of covid, it's now being done online. The employment exchange number is mandatory for Group 'C' and Group 'D' jobs respectively. In this blog, we will know how to apply/register online  Employment exchange card for free. 

Due to the onset of Covid and hindrance in physical verification, after 27th September 2021 Assam government's Dept. of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship decided to start the registration process online. All prior Employment registration done manually before 27th September shall be valid till 31st March 2022.

Employment exchange registration is eligible for citizens of India and the Age eligibility is 14 years or above. To register with the Employment exchange in Assam the candidate has to be a resident of Assam. For job holder, they must give NOC From the employer before applying for an Employment exchange card.

Where to register for Employment Exchange: Employment Exchange registration can be done by residents of Assam at their respective district where they are born or have domicile.

How to Register of Online Assam Employment Exchange

Since the mode of application is online the candidate can register their name by visiting the official website of Dept. Of skill and labour, Govt. of Assam

The online registration can be done via two modes: a) Aadhar based b) Non -Aadhar based.

Aadhar based Employment Exchange registration:

Aadhar based registration for employment exchange is the easiest and recommended mode of registration as it won't require physical verification. It won't be useful if you haven't got your Aadhar card yet. The online Employment exchange form can be filled by visiting Assam govt. The steps for Aadhar based registration is as follows:

• After opening the official Employment registration website, click on the Registration button.
  
  
• Registration process required Basic detail like Full Name, Email and Phone number.
  
  
• Upon successful registration, Choose Apply with Aadhar then log in via the detail which you have been provided and OTP on your registered number.
  
  
• Fill the online Employment registration form carefully.
  
  
• Scanned all the required documents (Educational Qualification (Pass Certificate & Mark sheets in order from the lowest level to highest level) into a single PDF) and upload it, Do keep note of file size and resolution.
  
  
• On successful registration, you will get an e-certificate of the Employment Exchange card in your registered e-mail. Download and save it.
  
  

Non-Aadhar Based Employment exchange Registration:

Candidates who doesn't possess Aadhar must select non Aadhar based verification, It's a two-step process where you have to physically present at your respective district Employment exchange office. However, candidates can choose the date of verification and timing also. On successful verification, the employment card will be provided. 

The steps for Non-Aadhar Based Registration are as follows:

• Upon successful registration, Choose Apply with Non- Aadhar then log in via the detail which you have been provided and OTP on your registered number.
  
  
• Select date and time for verification of documents.
  
  
• Fill the online Employment registration form carefully.
  
  
• Visit the employment office where you have chosen and reach on the date and time for an appointment.
  
  
• On successful registration, you will get your employment registration card.

• Educational Documents: Candidates will have to submit all their pass certificates and mark sheets in one combine pdf. Note that all copies of documents should be scanned and clearly readable otherwise the online application may be rejected.
  
  
  

• Age Proof: Candidates can submit one of the documents listed below as their age proof. The candidate must be above 14 years.

• Birth Certificate.
• HSLC Admit Card.

• Proof of Residency: Candidates will have to submit any one of the following mentioned documents as proof of their residence.
  
  
  
• AADHAAR Card with a permanent address within the state of Assam.
  
  
• Driving License (Self or Parents).
  
  
• Copy of Chitha/Jamabandi land record (Self or Parents).
  
  
• Copy of Passport (Self or Parents).
  
  
• Certified Copy of Electoral Roll/EPIC (Self or Parents).
  
  
  
• Caste Certificate: Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST Must upload their caste certificate.
  
  
• Non-Creamy layer: Non-creamy certificate have to be uploaded by OBC category candidates.
  
  
• For PwD candidates: Person with disability(PwD) candidates needs to upload the medical certificate made by the competent authority.

Is there any Fee for Registration of Employment Exchange

There is no fee for the Employment Exchange card if you have applied from your own home. However, if you have applied through a CSC agent then you might be charged.


When is the last Date of Applying for Employment Exchange card


Govt. of Assam had instructed you to Register for an Online Employment Exchange card as soon as possible, if you have an older Employment card made before 27th September 2021 then it will be valid till 30th March of 2022. Therefore, candidates need to apply online for the new employment exchange cards.


When i can renew my Employment exchange card

As instructed the employment exchange card has a validity of around 3 years after the expiration of validity candidate still have 3 months of grace period, failure to renew may lead to cancellation of the registration certificate.
